XACT Sverige is an exchange-traded index fund. Its objective is to track the performance of SIX Sweden ESG Selection Index GI as closely as possible. The fund consists of large and mid-sized Swedish companies that fulfil the sustainability requirements in the index. The sustainability requirements provide for the inclusion of companies with high sustainability ratings, as well as the exclusion of companies involved in controversial business operations. The fund normally distributes dividends in June each year. The objective is to distribute 4% of the unit’s value at the time of the Management Company’s decision on distributions. However, the distribution can be both higher and lower. The dividends in the underlying companies are the basis for the distribution. This is a fund that invests with specific sustainability criteria. The fund is reported as an Article 8 fund pursuant to EU regulation 2019/2088 on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector (SFDR). SFDR provides for a standardization in the sustainability reporting for mutual funds. In our opinion, this has reduced the need for other sustainability labels. Accordingly, Handelsbanken Fonder has chosen not to renew the fund’s Nordic Swan ecolabel license when Nordic Swan updated its labelling as of 31 March 2023.
